Secret relatives?!?
First of all, apologies again for the lack of blogging recently, internet problems have struck again.
Anyway, whilst watching the X Factor this morning followed by the Newcastle v Arsenal game, I couldn't help but notice the striking resemblance between Jonas Guitierrez and Wagner!
Let me know what you think:
Uncanny!!

Apologies for the lack of Blogging
Sorry everyone for the lack of blogging recently, I have been without Internet for a week and it has killed me! Anyway, I'm back now, and my latest blog is on the farce that was the 2nd goal in the Man U v Tottenham game yesterday evening. Again, Mark Clattenburg was the referee involved and although the decision this time wasn't quite as bad as the one shown in the picture below, it was still a shockingly bad decision.
By the way, for those who never saw this incident a few years back, this was not given as a goal despite the ball being 3 feet behind the line.
Mark Clattenburg is apparently one of the best referees in the country, yet all he does is come across as arrogant on the pitch and a bit of a twat off it. I'm hoping he gets reprimanded for this one.

John out!
Saturday night saw a lot of improvements in the X Factor performances, but still not a patch on previous years.
Tonight's results show was very entertaining thanks to the fantastic voice of Michael Buble. He sang his new song 'Hollywood'. Cheryl Cole also performed, which was also a good performance, mainly visually!
When the results came, John and Trayc were in the sing-off. Despite his best efforts, John made a mess of his cover of 'Because of You', forgetting the words in places and generally singing it terribly.
It came as no surprise then when he was voted out of the competition. He said at the end that this isn't the end for him, but I think we all know it is......

Rooney U-turn!
Well, what a strange few days it has been in the world of Wayne Rooney. As I posted earlier in the week, Wayne Rooney publicly came out and said that he was seeking a move away from Manchester United. This led to a flurry of media speculation and response, my personal favourite being Ian Holloway (Blackpool Manager and my Mum's classmate at school)'s rant at Rooney, which can be viewed using the link below:

Anyway, all of this speculation has now been ended in a bizarre turnaround by the England striker, who has today signed a new 5-year contract with Manchester United, with Rooney becoming the highest paid player in United's history earning a reported £180,000 a week.
With this strange saga complete, my personal opinion is although Rooney has pledged his commitment to the club, he made a big mistake in the way this was handled and took some very bad advice from his agent. Not only does it look like he has come crawling back with his tail between his legs; he has also offended all of his team mates by stating that the club wasn't strong enough anymore.
It will be interesting to see how the season unfolds for Rooney now. Personally, after all that has happened, I hope he has a miserable season and gets the criticism he deserves from United fans, pundits and the media. Throwing your toys out the pram is not only immature, but highly unprofessional. Perhaps Rooney should learn from Steven Gerrard, who seems to suffer in silence as the great player he is watches his beloved team get worse and worse every year.

All about Bale
My prediction last night for the Tottenham v Inter Milan game was unfortunately miserably wrong, and Spurs were nearly embarrassed. However, that embarrassment was spared by one man.....Gareth Bale.
The man on his left, Aaron Lennon, also had an awesome game, but despite the loss Bale stole the show with an excellent 2nd half hat-trick. Two questions are now asked?
If Bale is not, who is the best left sided player in the world?
Can Spurs keep hold of him?
My personal opinion......yes he is the best in the world at present, and I certainly hope we keep hold of him!!
